The CSV Export Request

Decide what you would do from the brief alone. Everything below it is available, but the exercise stops working if you open it first.

The situation you were handed

Finance lead, in a Slack message: "Can you add a button to the admin that exports all orders as a CSV? We need it for month-end. Shouldn't be a big deal, right?"

The trap — the move that looks right

Building exactly what was asked — an all-orders CSV with every column and a date filter — because it is quick and polite. Finance gets a file that still needs an hour of manual cleaning, the reconciliation is still manual, and the next request ("can it include payouts?") arrives in a month with an export that now has to stay backwards compatible for whoever else started using it.
