PM: "Leadership wants to know when order tracking will be on the order page. I need a date by tomorrow. Can you give me one?"
The trap — the move that looks right
Giving a single padded date to be safe. Leadership plans a marketing push around it, the carrier data turns out to be unreliable, and the team either ships a tracking page showing wrong dates or misses the date — and the padding did not help because the risk was never named.
